Present Continuous For things that are happening in the moment of speaking – Right now, I’m speaking to all of you. – I’m writing to you to tell you how it feels to be unemployed.

Present Continuous For things that are temporary and happening around now, but maybe not at the moment of speaking – Now, he’s looking for a job. – She’s teaching at a primary school in Boston. – He’s working as a cook in a diner.

Present Simple For daily routines and things we always/sometimes/never do – He reads 5 chapters a day. – She brushes her teeth every morning and after lunch. – He never goes out to eat. – She sometimes calls her mother.
