4 2. Work collaboratively LIS, technical, academic staff + senior management Growth in ICTs + resource-based learning The Hybrid Library and Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) Extending the remit of the library Convergent thinking

5 3. Establish strong links with academic staff Involvement of teaching staff Engage their interest early in the process Gain access to non-traditional collections Tutors as contributors as well as users

6 4. Consider scalability from the beginning Scalability limited by staff and other resources Limited applicability of the experimental model Interface differentiation in the Hybrid Library One size fits all?

7 5. Secure effective technical support - who, what,when, where & how often 6. Concentrate on resolving authentication & copyright issues 7. Devise policies on the provision of services - loans, photocopying & document delivery
