General Arrangement Starting point is that we have practically no general arrengement In the conceptual design only side projection of the ship was made Definitions of different spaces have changed Propulsion system has changed NAPA model includes a rough room definition that can be utilized

Requirements GA should contain preliminary deck drawings showing all the key functions of the ship and dimensions + side drawing with same requirements Safety requirements must taken into account according to classification society, SOLAS Special attention needs to be put to space reservations that the hull structure will require

Room division All the required rooms are defined at least at some level for example different tanks, cabins, galley, dining area etc. Different regulations need to be taken into account: Cabin with window for every crew member Fire safety regulations Emergency situation regulations

Work topics Different tank sizes need to be calculated based on fuel consumption – time of the journey Safety aspects need to be considered to enable safe evacuation of the ship General arrangement need to serve the ships mission Reservation of space for hull structure

Schedule and work breakdown Santeri will be concentrating on the upper decks and superstructure Niko will be working with decks under the main deck Start of work by defining the need of rooms, calculating tank sizes and checking the regulations Then exporting of NAPA model to AutoCad and detailing the deck drawings
