2010-05WFP Initial EFSA Learning Session Objectives After this session, participants should be able to: Explain the importance and value of a work plan for the initial EFSA team Describe the process of generating a work plan for the initial EFSA List the key components of the work plan and of the initial EFSA team’s terms of references 2

Work plan will serve as a roadmap for the entire assessment process It consists in: mapping the different phases and related tasks to be carried out along the process, and planning for corresponding resources necessary, and approximate time and duration for each. This is thus the time to set-up the teams and consider how to organize with partners 4

2010-05WFP Initial EFSA Learning Please note! The fact that an assessment has to be carried out on short notice does not mean that a work-plan is not needed. On the contrary, the limited time available makes it all the more necessary to carefully set up activities so as to make the best use possible of staff, time and other resources.
