REMEMBER: One couplet has to begin with a subordinating conjunction and a dependent clause THAT IS FOLLOWED BY an independent clause. A second couplet has to contain two independent clauses; be sure to separate them with a semicolon. Print out your couplets for Friday. If you finish early: 1.Complete an enrichment for your couplets 2.Work on a bingo choice or menu option – DUE TOMORROW.

New folder  Call it “6 th grade.” Inside this folder, create another new folder and call it “6 th grade English.” This is where you will save your couplet document and all other work you do for English this year. Open a Word Document, and save it to you 6th grade English folder. Call it Couplets. Once it is saved, FREQUENTLY hold down CTRL + S to save again.

3 A flash drive is a BACK-UP DEVICE ONLY. You ALWAYS MUST have another copy of your document saved onto you home computer or your school S Drive. To save to a flash drive: When you are finished working on a Word Document and you have already saved it to your S Drive, save a copy to your flash drive so that you can take the document with you. File  Save As  Computer  Desktop  Removable Disk (USB) -- this is your flash drive; you can remove it.  Save
