The ability of a solid to be hammered with out shattering.

6. HARDNESS
The resistance of a material to scratching.

7. MELTING POINT
The temperature at which a SOLID melts.

8. BOILING POINT
The temperature at which a liquid boils.

9. DENSITY The ratio of the mass of a substance to its volume.
Density= Mass/Volume

10. Chemical Properties
The way a substance reacts with other substances to form new substances with different properties.

11. Reactivity
The property that describes how easily a substance combines chemically with other substances.

12. Flammability
The ability of a material to burn in the presence of oxygen.

13. Physical Change
Changes that occur when some of the properties of a material change, but the substances in the material remain the same.

A change that occurs when a substance reacts and forms one or more new substances.
