They wondered what happened to the stored energy in the grass plant as one organism eats another in a food chain relationship. (grass-grasshopper- snake-fox) This is what they said: Tatyana: I think most of the plant’s energy ended up in the fox Molly: I think most of the plant’s energy ended up in the snake Amos: I think most of the plant’s energy ended up in the grasshopper Ursula: I think that amount of energy that was in the plant stayed the same when it passed through the organisms in the food chain.
