2. The Team Timmah! wwiiiiSSSaAAA MMMM Mini-Me ME

3. The Purpose  The purpose is to cream a cup of coffee for all of us lazy folks out there.  The apparatus is an example of conservation of momentum and energy.

4. Step One, “ Down and Down ” The ball is released above the top track. It rolls down the next two tracks while gaining kinetic energy. Ke i +Pe i =Ke f +Pe f Assume all collisions to be elastic.

5. Step 2, “ The Collision ” The ball, after gaining kinetic energy, collides with the wooden block and transfers momentum energy to the block. The block, which has a razor blade on the front of it cuts a string.

6. Step 3, “ The Falling Hammer ” The third step is initialized by the cutting of the string in the previous step. The string releases a small hammer which falls onto a seesaw and launches a ball.

7. Step 4, “ Flying Balls ” Using our expertise in trajectory motion, we launch a ball flawlessly into a paper funnel

8. Step 5, “ mmmmm, Cream ” The launched ball goes in the funnel and onto a track that leads to a creamer. The creamer is knocked over into the coffee. Presto! Creamed Coffee!

9. Conclusion  We all had fun working on this project.  This project was a great way for us to get a hands-on approach to problem solving and have a great time doing it.
