6. Rom c5 v8 - God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT) Eph c2 v4-5 - God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, 5 that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (NLT) 1 John c4 v9-11 - This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.
