9. Pilot project An AID system will be build in Hangzhou City using Vision Machine technologies along a 10km expressway. An passenger OD analysis system based on the IC Card fare information comes into operation in Qingdao City Traveler Information System is doing field test using the CDMA 1X platform in Beijing and Shanghai

10. Beijing preparation for 2008 Department of Transport founded. Infrastructure construction is focus on Metro and light-rail, 30-50Km will be built annually by the end 2008, total length will over 300Km at that time. Hundreds of traffic detectors is installed. Funding for ATMS is RMB 550 million before 2004. Funding for ITS will more than RMB 1 billion.
