STAGE I : FORMING Members are confused& hesitant about the task and the reasons for being a part of the team. New teams; learning how to work together. Personal relations are characterized by dependence.

STAGE II: STORMING Conflict What the group should do? How to behave with each other? Issues of control, competition, influence and decision making. Moving from “I” issues to “We” issues?

Each member identifies & documents his/her primary objectives (up to 2). Team leader to ensure individual objectives match with those of the team. STORMING: Operating Tips

Meetings: Clear agenda, Specific deliverables & New action plans. Balance the load based on hours required to complete the project.

Norms and roles develop. “How can I contribute to the group”? More collaboration over competition. STAGE III: NORMING

NORMING: Operating Tips Decide on Who will do What and by When. Quickly set the frequency of work/fun rituals. Establish procedures to handle disagreements & an open channel for feedback.
