1 Place Your Photo AND Logo on Your Home Page Website Manager Tutorials

2 Why Do This? It helps with your company branding. It adds more visual interest to your home page. The process will work on many of your text pages. It’s good to get comfortable with image sizing and uploads.

3 Example of Final Result You will adjust the sizes of the photo and logo to get a desired effect. Or you can use our photo management services to resize them for you.

4 Step 1 – Gather Your Images Your images need to be saved in a.jpg or.gif format. Your website is about 800 pixels wide. If you want your photo and logo to each be about ¼ as wide as your site, they would each need to be 200 pixels wide. Slide your cursor over your image filename. A box pops up and tells you the image size.

5 Step 2 – Resize Your Images Go to www.fvisions.com and click on Customer Central to access tutorials.www.fvisions.com Under “Online Tutorials” click on “Website Manager” and “Resizing Your Pictures.” You can resize your images using MS Paint, which is included with the Microsoft Windows operating system: Or …

6 Resizing Images (cont.) Ask your photo service to size your image (tell them the pixel width), or Call our Customer Support line, and use our Photo Management service ($35 per image resizing). All images must be the desired size before you upload them. or…

7 Step 3 – Upload Your Images In Website Manager, click on “File Manager” in left side menu bar. This will access the area where all of your images are “managed.”

8 Upload Your Images (cont.) Click on the “My Pictures” folder. Click on the “Browse…” button.

9 Upload Your Images (cont.) Locate the image file on your computer, highlight it, and click “Open.”

10 Upload Your Images (cont.) Click “Upload.” Repeat for each image. Whatever images you upload into the “My Pictures” folder can be placed on pages throughout your site.

11 Step 4 – Place an Image We will add the logo image to the home page by inserting it into the home page text window. This same procedure will work on many of your website pages, wherever you have a text window in Website Manager. Let’s assume you already have your home page photo in place, and want to add your logo.

12 Place an Image (cont.) In the File Manager/My Pictures window, highlight your logo image file. Click on the “Copy” button

13 Place an Image (cont.) Go to the Home Page Text window Place your cursor in the window where you want the logo to be inserted.

14 Place an Image (cont.) Click on the image icon, and a window opens. Press “Ctrl V”, then click “OK.” Places the image details into this window.

15 Place an Image (cont.) You will see your logo appear in the text window. Remember to save your changes.

16 Final Result The logo image is now part of the text section of your home page.
