2. 2 Popcorn Sale is important to Pack 82 and Dan Beard Council Boys learn lessons about setting goals and receiving rewards, public speaking and influencing, working towards a common purpose Pack 82 raises about of half our total budget for activities and awards Dan Beard raises funds for camp facilities, personnel, training and support of Packs in challenged communities

3. 3 Pack 82 Budget Parents pay $65 per boy – $24 National and Council Registration – $3 Insurance – $12 Boy’s Life magazine – $8 Leader registration, insurance and materials  Leaves $18 for Pack activities and awards, about $1,500 total Program costs – $1,100 New Member Starter Kit and Welcome Meeting – $350 Pinewood cars and awards (net after snack bar revenue) – $450 Blue and Gold Celebration – $1,000 Rank advancements, awards and leader materials – $175 Website hosting and advancement tracking software  Totals about $3,100 Popcorn makes up the difference (plus a little more)  About $2,500-$3,800 a year
