2 Mission Statement FLS International is committed to providing effective English as a Foreign Language education and cultural training to international students and assisting clients during each phase of their educational experience, from their initial entry into the United States to their transfer to a college or university.

10 FLS English Programs  Academic English/Test Preparation: Offers six hours per day of language instruction, including one core class, two electives or test preparation class, and a daily Academic Workshop.  Intensive English: Offers three different classes each day, including one core class, a focused elective on a specific skill or topic and an Academic Workshop.  General English: Combines the core class and a daily Academic Workshop.  Vacation English: Offers complete instruction in the basics of English while allowing plenty of time for fun and exploration. NOTE: Not available for students on an F-1 visa.

11 FLS Class Definitions  Core Lessons: Includes instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a communicative style. Students also benefit from readers, Language Extension Days and our English Everywhere tools.  Elective Lessons: Focusing on specific skills and topics, our wide range of electives let you customize your study program.  Academic Workshops: Our lab-style workshops offer a range of academic options each week, including Pronunciation Clinics, Conversation Clubs, Homework Labs, and more.  Test Preparation: Available for students in advanced levels of the FLS English Program, our test preparation classes cover all of the skills necessary to succeed on the TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, SAT, GRE, & GMAT exams.

12 FLS Test Preparation Programs  FLS is pleased to offer specific test preparation programs for students interested in studying in the American education system.  Open to FLS students in level 5 and above: – TOEFL at ALL FLS Campuses – TOEIC at FLS Citrus College – IELTS at FLS Boston Commons  Open to FLS students in level 7 and above: – GMAT at FLS TTU and FLS Boston Commons – GRE at FLS TTU – SAT at FLS Boston Commons  Test preparation classes cover verbal, written and quantitative sections of these exams.

19 FLS Citrus College Located near the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Citrus College offers a great combination of suburban comfort and safety along with access to all of the attractions and glamor of Los Angeles. Citrus College, founded in 1915, is one of the oldest colleges in California and continues to expand its educational mission. 22 FLS Las Vegas Institute In 2013, FLS moved to a brand new facility in the District, an exciting mixed-use community in Green Valley. Many students completing the FLS advanced classes transfer to the nearby College of Southern Nevada. Additional transfer options are the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Dixie State College in southern Utah. 46 FLS Pathways at Citrus College Citrus College is the longstanding home of one the most popular FLS centers. With our articulation agreement, FLS students can transfer to Citrus College upon completion of Level 7 without the need for a TOEFL score. Students may complete two years of coursework at Citrus and then use the Transfer Admission Guarantee to enter many University of California campuses. As part of the TAG agreement, Citrus will outline courses you must complete before transferring and state the grade point average you must earn. 49 FLS Pathways at Fisher College FLS is pleased to partner with Fisher College, a private four-year degree institution with over 100 years of tradition. This exciting new connection will provide FLS students with access to the resources of a great college in the heart of America’s education capital!  Students in FLS Level 5 and higher may have the opportunity to take their classes at Fisher College.  Students can enter the Fisher Pathway program and begin earning college credit starting at FLS Level 5.  Students who complete FLS Level 7 may transfer to Fisher College without a TOEFL requirement.  Students will receive a Fisher College ID and access to Fisher resources, including the library, student activities, and computer lab.
