2. Welcome! Mr. Tampa and the fifth grade team welcome you and thank you for your interest in the Washington, DC field trip for your student!

3. What are we doing there? Monday, May 2, 2016 6:00am Buses arrive at school, begin loading 6:30am Depart for Washington, DC, rest stop in route 12:30pm Lunch: Eat bag lunch (brought from home, not included) before entering Washington 2:00pm Visit the World War II Memorial 3:00pm Guided tour of Arlington National Cemetery 5:30pm Dinner: National Place food courts food courts (meal voucher included) 6:45pm Visit the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial 8:15pm Check into hotel: Comfort Inn Springfield 6560 Loisdale Ct, Springfield, VA 22150 (703) 922-9000

4. The next day… Tuesday, May 3, 2016 6:00am Continental breakfast in hotel dining room; board buses at 8:00am 8:30am Group photo in front of the White House 10:00am Smithsonian Museums: Museum of Natural History National Air & Space Museum (lunch included) National Archives (optional) 2:30pm Visit the MLK, FDR and Jefferson Memorials 4:00pm Visit the Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans, and Korean Memorials 5:30pm Dinner: Paradiso Ristorante with DJ-Dance Celebration 8:30pm Return to hotel

The final day… Wednesday, May 4, 2016 6:00am Continental breakfast in hotel dining room; board buses at 7:30am 8:45am US Capitol (*) 10:30am View/Discuss: Library of Congress and Supreme Court Building 11:30am Visit the Smithsonian Museum of American History 1:00pm Box lunch (included) 2:00pm Depart Washington; fast food dinner in route ($5 cash included) 10:00pm Approximate arrival time at school

8. When are the payment dates? Payment due dates (students and chaperones): ▫1 st payment-$40 due between November 9 th -November 17 th ▫2 nd payment- $? due between January 7 th -January 12th ▫ Final payment- $? due between April 6 th -April 12th

Attendance  while in Washington, DC, student is considered present at school ▫will not have actual assignments while on trip ▫take pictures of what seeing, not just selfies! ▫plan on creating project after return  if not going, must still come to school ▫depending on numbers, will get substitute and have assignments to complete
