Page 21 AD hoc Workshop, TC working Group, 12. June 2007, Taipei Conclusions (Some) typhoons can be described by regional atmospheric models run in the climate mode. Digital 2-d filter helpful for detection. Our simulations, or detection, fails with typhoons in the SW part of the considered region. Results represented are preliminary. We need better data for validation.
