Unit 4: Trigonometry Lesson 4 – Angles that Share Trig Ratios Follow these steps when you are given a point on the terminal arm and you need to determine the Trig Ratios: Use the (x, y) coordinates to determine the hypotenuse (r). Use x, y, and r to determine any trig ratio. Use the trig ratio to determine the related acute angle. Apply CAST to determine if the ratio should be positive or negative The Trig Ratios for the Related Acute and the Principal Angle are the same…. You just have to consider CAST

Learning Goals: I can find a Trig Ratio given the value of θ. I can find another angle that has the same Trig Ratio as θ. Unit 4: Trigonometry Lesson 4 – Angles that Share Trig Ratios
5
Unit 4: Trigonometry Lesson 4 – Angles that Share Trig Ratios We can use the related acute angle to help us determine the the value of any Primary Trig Ratio (and any Reciprocal Trig Ratio too) What is the related acute angle again????
