5 Safe and responsible practice  Devices emit heats  Harmful bacterial can be on the surface  Incorrect use and positioning of equipment can cause health problems  Use for a long time causes eye strain  Can overheat and become fire hazard  Spilt drinks can cause electric shock

6 How to keep safe?  Rooms well ventilated  Computer and work surface clean  Use ergonomically designed equipment  Take breaks or change position  Keep the room well lit  Take regular screen breaks keep food and drinks away form computers

7 Sustainability issues – is the development that meets the need of the present without compromising the ability of the future generation

8 E-waste  Old computer end up as electronic waste  more developed countries sending their e waste to less developed countries  Pollution – toxic waste can get into water supply and soil  All electronics use electricity and that more power to keep them cool and that contribute to the global worming  Finite resources – some of the elements of creating digital devices in short supply and will run out one day  Electricity come form none renwable devices and one day will run out

9 How to increase sustainability?  Recycle or ruse  Donate unwanted devices  Some companies rebuy the devices and sell the parts  Use the evices as long as possible before replacing them  Switch off digital devices when not in use  Some companies uising natural cool water for electricity  Use devices in sleep mode when not using it  Use solar power system technology to charge and power devices
