3 Vision 2010 Participation for all zRunning festival caters to all abilities from elites to walkers, men and women, old and young. Encourages health, fitness and fun. zWeekend events includes several youth targeted activities to re-enforce the benefits of a healthy lifestyle z10k and marathon provide a stage where Canada's best runners can, on home soil and with financial support, face some of the worlds top competitors. zEvent organizers are considered the voice of the running community in Ottawa and seen as a center of excellence in event organization

8 Demographics  Over 50% of all participants are between 30 and 49 years old. The average age is 35.2 (3 years younger than in 2005).  Participants are 56% women  The largest gender/age groups are:  Women 30 – 34 yrs (8%)  Women 40 – 44 yrs (8%)  Women 19 & Under (7.9%)  Men 19 & Under (7.7%)  There were 47 countries represented among all race participants.  Roughly 80% of participants came from Ontario, while 18% came from Quebec.
