3 5 steps to successful marking?
Assessment day! 1) Student looks back at targets and DIRT from previous module A minute DIRT session precedes the assessment. 2) Student completes their piece and writes a short reflection on how they think they have done. 3) Teacher corrects and applies school literacy policy. School stamp shows WWW/EBI in relation to previous targets. Teacher sets new target(s) Overall level/grade is recorded and whole school stamp circled. 4) Student plans a PEE response. Student also records the level/mark achieved, and adds their current “working at” grade to the front cover sticker. 5) minute reflection/DIRT 2 weeks later. Student re-visits target, chooses common error(s) from previous piece and applies to next module/unit. Student now turns attention to next assessment!
