Every year during autumn and early winter birds travel from their nestlings places to warmer lands.

The willow warbler is the smallest of all the birds.

Ringing is done by capturing a bird and placing on its leg a light band of metal of plastic.

The band bears a number, date, an identification mark and the address to which the finder is requested to return the ring.
