1 Page 1 ERCOT Project Status 50121, Service Oriented Architecture Project Timeline October 2004 - April 2007 Project Goals Replace SeeBeyond with TIBCO Deploy sufficient TIBCO licensing footprint to support future implementations Deploy Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

2 Page 2 ERCOT Project Status Near-term - Delivery of 2 key sub-projects –Enterprise Integration Framework Delivery timeframe: Q2, 2005 (project delivered & closed) Goal: Purchase and install software/initial Dev environment; Identify and document ERCOT's SOA delivery methodology, infrastructure, standards and policies for TIBCO deployments; identify sub-projects for 2005 –Deployment of initial pilot project Delivery timeframe: estimated early Q4, 2005 (project underway) Small; little to no Market impact Goal: Address TIBCO integration within TML Report Explorer function; implement initial footprint in testing and production environments Mid-term - Migrate SeeBeyond components to TIBCO Delivery timeframe: remainder of 2005 into Q1, 2006 (projects underway) Will use metrics from initial project (MID) to plan out remainder of 2005 deployments via iterative “bundled” approach Goal: Migrate all SeeBeyond components by March 2006 Long-term (2006-2007) Identify 2006 integration opportunities to leverage SOA / TIBCO technology Goal: Implement TIBCO footprint within ERCOT environment to support ERCOT’s current and future needs Project: SOA Extend Footprint project on 2006 Project Priority List 50121, Service Oriented Architecture Delivery Approach
