5. Equipment Mortar and Pestle – used to crush and blend substances together Ceramic or Clay Triangle– Used to hold/support a crucible over a bunsen burner. Thermometer – Used to take the temperature of substances.

6. Triple Beam Balance– used to measure mass. Wash Bottle – used to hold and dispense distilled water. Well Plate – used to run many reactions at once.

12. Wire gauze - used for supporting beakers and flasks when they are being heated with a Bunsen Burner Watch Glass– used to cover a beaker, evaporate liquid, or hold solids while being weighed. Electronic Balance– used to measure the mass of substances accurately
