3 Secondary School Diploma Requirements Compulsory Credits (18) English – 4 credits (one at each grade level) Mathematics – 3 credits (one at Gr. 11/12) Science – 2 credits French – 1 credit Canadian Geography – 1 credit Canadian History – 1 credit Career Studies – 0.5 credit Civics – 0.5 credit Health & Physical Education – 1 credit Arts – 1 credit Group 1, 2, 3 – 3 credits (one from each group) Elective Credits (12) Literacy Test or Course and 40 Hours of Community Involvement

15 Course selection is carried out during February: Brainstorming/ pre-planning during MSIP On-line course selection done by student and counsellor during MSIP Taking into consideration diploma requirements and student’s long-term plans On-line revisions by student and parent/guardian Signed course selection form returned to MSIP teacher
