Specific issues: Creating a new project with everything it needs, Accessing a variety of templates and files for various types of projects, Understanding what are expected activities/artifacts throughout the software development lifecycle, Understanding of the software development process activities, and Access to project artifacts/status by CIO and customers Visibility into resource assignment and availability

What is OPMS? OPMS is a web-based project workgroup system where you collaborate on all project documents as they relate to software projects, as well as access NIH/NIGMS IT policies, guidelines and templates.

OPMS Features OPMS supports IT Project Managers and Project Teams in the management of their software projects by providing: Project Workplace - Creation of a project and its artifacts from templates based on project type Centralized, organized, Web project management Project general information and status entry Document Management Check-in/checkout of artifacts for editing by team members Discussion Groups - Message board for posting project related questions or issues Access to IRMB policies, guidelines, and process information
