4. Problems Involving World Poverty Many people live on > $1 a day. These people do not have drinking water. Many of these people aren’t literate. South Asia + Sub-Saharan Africa Much disease Africa has most HIV/AIDS + malaria deaths. Every other child in the world is poor. For world’s children: -1 in 3 with no good shelter -1 in 5 with no safe water -1 in 7 with no health services. Needs are numerous: -More water -Better shelter -More schools -More doctors + hospitals. -Much, much, more.....

5. Poverty in the U.S.A. 6.7 million households have very low food security Very low food security = when food + eating patterns are disrupted due to lack of resources. Lack of security is a problem for poor citizens, due to robbery. Poor people = easiest target and many poor people are robbers. The U.S.’s poverty rate in 2009 was 14.3%, up from 13.2% in 2008, due to many factors. Help is needed: -More health services -Better protection -More government help -Etc, etc, etc,...

6. How Can You Help? Spread the word about CARE in the community. Telling people can get them to donate to poor. 550 million in Sub-Saharan Africa combined live on $2 a day. Donate money to CARE to give the poor Money raised could help build schools and giving education. Other money could go to better health services. Riding of poverty can help solve problems. Then, the world could be a more suitable place to live.

7. Visualizations for Solutions Poverty will always be there CARE helps control poverty. CARE uses 91% of money earned in helping the poor. 82% of the 91% goes to lasting solutions. If poverty is eliminated, than other worldly problems would be too.
