Use Cases Discussion ETE File Transfer, incl orbiter last hop Physical View –MDOS A MDOS B –SLE COMPLEX »S/C A S/C B Discussion –FWD Service Emergency Commanding –MDOS A | MDOS B --> interoperability/cross support interface? »(coordination for data transfer S/C A --> S/C B) –Is this (last hop commanding) best considered as an application level service ? –if emergency commands are cached at ground station what triggers their radiation? »csts "real-time" control service? »is this indicated /coordinated as part of service package? Potentially also used for "off-line" or “unattended “commanding? –RTN Service (Essential) Telemetry –Does this fill a "gap"/provide off-line retrieval for telemetry data relative to CSTS service –presumably entails some sort of catalog query to determine telemetry files available for retrieval? Validated radiometric data + raw DDOR data –File transfer seems like a good mechanism for this 3

"protocol" discussion where is the CFDP terminus located? ground station? MDOS? –If @ MDOS much/all of this is transparent relative to CSTS ? –if terminated at ground station, what does data management look like? –e.g., catalog, purge dates, etc. if a true generic file transfer is needed (MDOS Ground Station) –sftp based –need meta data associated with "payload" –need action specifications relative to transferred "payload" e.g., raw DDOR data transferred, now what? e.g, how is command radiation initiated if cached at ground station via previous file transfer 4
