Agenda 3/10/05 Imaging Quick Write/Sketch Work on Self Portrait Project –Remember: sketches and introspection first!!! –Ask me if you would like feedback on your Self Portrait so far. –Don't be afraid to start over if you don't like how it's coming out! –Use what you’ve learned about color theory, the principles of organization, the art elements, composition (from Tim Tadder and Don Hill), etc. Reminder: Turn in sketchbook by the end of class today.

Edgar Degas, 1834–1917 French Painter He is associated with the Impressionists although his style is quite different. It was very important to him to capture his subjects, especially women, in natural poses of grace and movement.

Don’t say something like, “I want them to see a picture of me.” Say, “I want them to see that I am…” Or, “I want them to feel…”)
