2. We analyzed the evolution of the presentation of Europe in our books of today and twenty years ago.

3. We contemplated: law, history and economic geography, subjects that we have in our study plan and that deal with the European situation.

4. We noticed how, over the years, books which deal with Europe have changed with reference to the length and attention paid to this topic. Twenty years ago only a few lines were dedicated to our continent, but now we have full pages.

5. The geography book we analyzed, pays attention only to the economic aspects of the countries which belong to the EEC (European Economic Community).

6. Unlike twenty years ago, the current books deal in detail with the birth of the European Union, its evolution through the various treaties (Rome, Maastricht Amsterdam, Nice), the Constitution and European law in general, the economy with attention to the use of the single currency and the activities of the Union.

7. The attention paid to the EEC twenty years ago was poor; books only mentioned its Parliament, the monetary system of those years and the subsequent single market.

8. Even in the history books we reviewed, we noticed that the topics are more detailed than twenty years ago as they speak about the Constitution and the rights of European citizens. They mention the various treaties, the single currency and the Schengen Agreement.

9. Twenty years ago there was no reference to the European Union Law in books.

10. Law books today, talk about the treaties superficially; they expatiate upon the Constitution, on the effects of the integration process (free mobility of people / goods / capital) on the Institutions and their powers, on the laws and, shortly, of the goals and principles of the Union.
