3 PRESIDENT’S NOTE It is a pleasure for me to share with you New Star Kafala's services and accomplishments through 2015. New Star Kafala works with a mission to help every child have a loving and secure home, and to eliminate the causes of relinquishment and abandonment through advocacy, education and dissemination of resources. After three years of a rollercoaster ride, with five board members determined to overcome whatever challenges came their way, New Star Kafala is now established as the first Muslim non-profit international adoption agency that would provide ethical, cost effective, and sharia compliant adoption services in the USA. The most significant achievement was receiving the Hague accreditation from the Council on Accreditation in July 2015, that gives us autonomy to serve our clients. With an aim to providing a better future to children, we initiated several enrichment programs with our partner institutions in Morocco. We are building partnerships with several Islamic institutions and community organizations in US to expand our outreach, education and advocacy for serving the needs of the orphans in the Muslim Ummah. May Allah bless our efforts to work together for a better future for all children, InshaAllah. Wafa Bennani President of the Board of Directors
