1. Visible light ✤ Allows us to see ✤ Pointers, CD players and printers use visible light as laser ✤ Satellite imaging requires visible light ✤ Flashlights and lamps emit visible light for illumination
3
✤ By using solar panels, we can generate electricity with visible light ✤ We sometimes cook with visible light using the electronic oven
4
✤ With the phenomenon named Total Internal Reflection, we can use optical fibre for telecommunications with visible light ✤ Periscope allows us to see things right-way up with visible light
5
2. Convex lens ✤ Convex lens can magnify the image we see ✤ Therefore, it is used in magnifying glass ✤ It can also be used to converge the light ray
6
✤ Convex lens is often used in creating photos by photographers
7
✤ Binoculars, telescopes and cameras use convex lens as well ✤ It is used as spectacles for the correction of long sight
8
3. Concave lens ✤ Concave lens can diminish the image we see ✤ It can be used to diverge the light ray ✤ It is mainly used in the peepholes
9
✤ Concave lens is also used in spectacles for the correction of short sight ✤ Flashlights use concave lens to increase the beam of light ✤ It is often used in some telescopes and cameras
