Head Snapping Turtles have long necks for rapidly attacking its prey. The snapping uses its long neck to put its head into its shell to protect its head.

Color Adaptations Snapping Turtles use camouflage to blend in with their surroundings. They blend in with the mucky water in the swamps.

Claws Snapping turtles use there claws to dig. They dig away sand for laying eggs. Their feet have webbing on them for swimming.

Tail Snapping Turtles have spikes on there tails for protection against predators.

Protective Shell Snapping Turtles have a shell for protecting itself and the shell provides the turtle with shelter.
