7. 7 Scheduling – Core Curriculum Courses Objective For Accountability Services to identify the students scheduled to core curriculum teachers and match the NC WISE data with data from the winscan test files??????

8. 8 Scheduling – Core Curriculum Courses… Reading, Math and Science Must schedule sections of each for grades 3-8. The teacher entered in the Teacher field in Course Section Maintenance will be held accountable. Only 1 instance each of 1010, 2001 and 3001 Students must be scheduled into the appropriate sections.

9. 9 Scheduling – Core Curriculum Courses… Self Contained Same teacher teaches the same group of students for all core subjects. Use the 0000 course number along with the core subject course numbers when scheduling. Student schedules will show 0000 along with the core subject course numbers.

10. 10 Scheduling – Core Curriculum Courses… Not Self Contained Students have different teachers for core subjects (students change classes) Do NOT schedule 0000 course number Schedule core subject course numbers with correct teacher names Student schedules will show each class and its teacher, but not the 0000 course.

11. 11 Scheduling – Year Long Classes The STDP in Course Section Maintenance must have ‘0’ in the Semester field, NOT ‘1’. If already scheduled for 2010-11 with ‘1’ as the semester, the section must be rescheduled correctly showing the semester as ‘0’.

12. 12 Scheduling – Section Numbers Section numbers must contain only numerical values. If alpha values are used in section numbers, class sizes for all sections containing alpha values in a course will be added together resulting in class size overages on the SAR edits.

13. 13 Scheduling – Course Sequence Use the Course Sequence field in Course Maintenance to designate the associated college/university campus for the course. Use difference course numbers for courses taken at different college/university locations.
