SB 290 Core Teaching & Admin Standards must: Provide multiple measures-encompass a range of behaviors Provide evidence of student academic growth Be research-based Be separately developed for teachers and administrators Be customized based on collaboration of teachers, administrators, & bargaining reps.

Evaluation must attempt to: Strengthen knowledge, skills, disposition and practices Refine the support, assistance and professional growth based on individual needs Establish a growth process that supports professional learning Use evaluation methods, professional development, support targeted to individual needs

SB 290 – Public Comment Require at least 4 performance levels in evaluation Student Academic growth & learning as a significant factor in educator evaluations
