Principles of Diversity, Inclusive Excellence, and Campus Climate Diversity Recognize, Understand and Value differences of individuals and group/social differences Inclusive Excellence “Making Excellence Inclusive is AAC&U’s guiding principle for access, student success, and high-quality learning. It is designed to help colleges and universities integrate diversity, equity, and educational quality efforts into their missions and institutional operations.” (Association of American Colleges and Universities) Campus Climate “current attitudes, behaviors and standards of faculty, staff, administrators and students concerning the level of respect for individual needs, abilities and potential” (Rankin, 2004)
