Mango is an evergreen tree that grows 30 to 90 feet tall and spreads 50 feet or more. Mature mango trees provide ample shade to the landscape and bear heavy crops of fruit. The mango is an especially long-lived tree. (http://www.ehow.com/info8031033_ma ngo-tree.html)

Mango suffers from several diseases at all stages of its life. All the parts of the plant, namely, trunk, branch, twig, leaf, petiole, flower and fruit are attacked by a number of pathogens including fungi, bacteria and algae. They cause several kinds of rot, die back, anthracnose, scab, necrosis, blotch, spots, mildew, etc.

Some of these diseases like powdery mildew are of great economic importance as they cause heavy losses in mango production. www.horticultureworld.net/mango -india2.htm

Anthracnose is one of the most serious diseases. It is caused by the Colletotrichum gleosporioides fungus. Symptoms of this disease include dark leaf spots, blossom blight and fruit rot. The spots that appear on the leaves are small and black or brown. These spots can be small dots

or as large as a half-inch in diameter in older trees. The spots may appear much larger in younger trees, and entire branches will have leaves that wither and die. (www.http://garden.lovetoknow.com garden.lovetoknow.com )

This alarming serious diseases prompted the researchers to find indigenous feasible solution to eliminate colletotrichum gleosporioides fungus. Thus, this study mainly aims to produce natural organic pesticide to

eliminate the colletotrichum gleosporioides fungus by using the okra leaves extract.

In this study, the colletotrichum gleosporioides underwent two (2) diffferent methods in applying pesticides namely: (1) through direct spraying and 2. through immersion.

Procedure: Okra leaves was collected from Rizal National High School garden, Brgy.Rizal, Suriga City. In the preparation, The researcher will use decoction method wherein we collected 0ne (1) kilogram of fresh okra leaves and washed with tap water. Add 0ne (1) liter of tap water and boiled for five (5) min

Let it cool, then filtered. Gather six (6) mango leaves affected by colletotrichum gleosporioides. Three (3) leaves soaked in decoction within one (1) day
