A.Physical properties describe a substance. 1.Shape, color, size, texture, volume, mass 2.Physical properties – characteristics of a substance that can be observed without changing the identity of the substance 3.Use your senses 4.Density – how much mass/matter is in a given unit of volume (g/cm 3 )
