Competitor Bashing An advertisement that portrays the competition in a negative way. Hidden message- Don’t use the competitor’s product, use ours instead. Subway Subway

Recognizable spokes person/thing. A commercial that uses a spokesperson that is associated with the product. Hidden message- You will like and use the product because you like the spokesperson. Humor An advertisement that gets the consumers attention through comedy. Hidden message- you will remember the product because of the funny advertisement.
