PHRI Pilot Discussion Pilot Overview – Implement one or more pilots with identified clinical provider(s), EHR vendors, PH receiver, PH condition being reported, and the triggers supporting the reported condition(s) – Use real data in a “live” environment – Complete pilot and evaluation by May 15, 2013 (for Meaningful Use) 2 potential pilots are in discussion right now: – Communicable Disease Case Reporting (CDC, CSTE, JPHIT) – Adverse Event Reporting (FDA)

6. PHRI Pilot Discussion Pilot Objectives – Demonstrate executable implementations of harmonized data elements and specification templates – Document lessons learned to help guide their own implementation or to find problems with specifications – Encourage feedback to CDC and PHRI stakeholders to improve harmonized data elements and template specifications – Identify dependencies and burden on EHR data providers and public health agencies that send and receive data
