Israelites One man was an important religious figure named Abraham. Abraham was to be believed to lived during the rule of Hammurabi. Abraham had a son named Isaac, Isaac had a son named Jacob who was known as Israel, Israel had 12 sons. The Israelites also included the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments soon became an important part of Judaism.

Lydians In 600 B.C. Lydians invented coins. When the Lydians made a coin it was the size of a bean. After they began to make more and more coins the people began to shave the edges of the coins off. After they shaved the coins the coins were offered as if they were the same price.

Phoenicians Lived on narrow strips which are now the Coastal areas. Phoenicians were located in between Egypt to the south and Mesopotamia to the east. From 1100 B.C. to 800 B.C. Phoenicians Cities enjoyed the Greatest Power and wealth. During that time the Phoenicians sent out sailors to explore the Mediterranean sea.

Persians The most responsible person to build the Persian Empire was Cyrus the Great. He was born in 590 B.C. Cyrus became the ruler of Anshan in 559 B.C. After he became the ruler he overthrew the king of Medes of the year 550 B.C. Cyrus was a skilled Military leader.
