Martinez-Herrera 20095 Interpretation Notes Wealth (1990-2000s): Catalonia has been the 3 rd wealthiest region in Spain (out of 17) Castilla-La Mancha and Galicia have ranked 13 th and 14 th (out of 17) Regional Identity Catalonia comes first and Galicia second, although quite mobilized too Castilla-La Mancha historically belongs to mainstream Castilian Spain Competences (Powers) Catalonia and Galicia among those with more powers (but Galicia less than Catalonia in terms of per capita public budget) Castilla-La Mancha has less historically less powers and budget, although a decade ago it was assimilated to a large extent to the other two
