Simple Slides Don’t overload your slides with text and pictures. Putting too much information on one slide is distracting and forces the audience to read your slide instead of listening to you speak. You want to use your slides as areas to highlight information. You may have note cards with you when you present, so you do not need to write out everything you want to say on your slide. Less is more!

Job Research You need to have slides dedicated to the information you gained in your career research: What career did you research? law enforcement, health care, military, etc. What did you learn? job demand, salary, certification/training requirements What interesting facts came up?

Job Shadowing You need to have slides dedicated to the job shadowing experience. Where did you job shadow? Who was your mentor? What did you get to do? What did you learn? What did you like? Dislike? GOOD PICTURES ARE GOOD Respect confidentiality!
