Why is “Who you are” important Some assignments because of different reasons need to be done collectively Assumptions: – a group; different personalities, values and beliefs (I) – but this same group has a “common” goal (goal) The only thing in common and stable is the goal or tasks Obviously the variable is the different personalities. You thus will have to adjust is you share the desire to reach the goal. What sets the work then apart from any other work is that everyone must cooperate in order to be productive or finalize the project on time and enhance the quality and results

Contracts Learning contracts Learning contracts help the student share the responsibility for achieving desired outcomes. It also helps increase accountability and provides feedback to the student regarding progress toward meeting the agreed upon goals. A "contract" is a valuable tool that Lecturers can use in negotiating terms with students and/or group members which details the specific expectations that the Lecturer, student, and the group members formally agree upon. Learning goals Learning goals are the foundation of all modules Consciously engage in work on these goals Be conscious is thus a prerequisite for success This means you need to define how you’re going to work on these goals
