Submissions Due January 1st This is the 4th Annual Ladies are Funny Festival It will be held at The Salvage Vanguard Theater. Last year’s shows were sold out It is in Austin, Texas

Classes Vapapo Character Tool Kit Workshop Taught by Jill Bernard Teaches participants how to sustain a strong and compelling character for a whole scene Price is $25 The Fireball Theory Taught by Jill Bernard and helps you to initiate scenes without judging yourself

Jill Bernard Jill Bernard has been performing with ComedySportz-Twin Cities since 1993, and is also a founding member of HUGE Theater. She has taught and performed improv in Norway, Canada, and over twenty-five of these United States, An Artistic Associate of the Chicago Improv Festival, she has studied at the Annoyance Theater, Improv Olympic, the Brave New Workshop and other organizations.

Producer and Host named Best Improv Troupe in the 2006 Austin Chronicle Readers Poll. Their specialty is creating full-length musicals - complete with snappy songs, compelling characters, and even high-energy dance routines - on the spot from an audience suggestion.

What they are looking for FUNNY LADIES! All-female improv and sketch troupes, one-woman shows, dance troupes, stand-ups, anything funny as long as it's a live performance by females.

What we need to submit SEND via email to gggimprov@gmail.com: gggimprov@gmail.com 1. A link to a good quality video of a recent unedited show in front of a live audience with the cast you'd expect to bring with you to LAFF. 2. Your act's name and a brief history 3. A paragraph describing your show, that we might use for publicity 4. The name of your contact person, phone number(s) and e-mail address 5. A list of names of performers/tech/musicians/roadies who you will be bringing. 6. Your website URL, if you have one. 7. An attachment or a link to 300 dpi photos of your troupe/self and a logo (if you have one). 8. Any supporting documentation on your act (reviews, articles, awards, etc)

Let’s Do This! There is no submission fee. DEADLINE: Postmarked/Emailed by January 1, 2010 Attending performers receive a percentage of ticket sales, a great time in Austin, and a chance to meet some of the funniest women in Texas and beyond.
