Segregated Housing  Blacks lived in poorer neighborhoods  Higher crime rates and cheaper houses in these neighborhoods  Denied adequate housing because of color  Whites would do anything to keep blacks out of their neighborhood How this Relates The Lindner’s tried to bribe the youngers out of buying the new house Youngers lived in poor little apartment “rooms for refined colored adults”

4. My Cultural Background  Italian and Polish  We have a family dinner every Sunday  Because I'm Italian I like Italian food  The youngers take pride in their cultures and so do I

5. Personal goals  Make a lot of Money- I want to be able to support my family alone and still have money to spare  Go to college- I want to go to college and get a good degree  Raise a good family- I want to live happily with my family and live on
