DNA Fingerprinting Restriction Enzymes By Ivy Stites & Jamison Watson

What are those?! Restriction enzymes are molecular scissors that cut DNA in specific places between nucleotides based on the code given. (like TGCTGA-TGACAA; or it could be much simpler like CC-GG).

What happens when they’re cut? Differences and similarities between the number of base pairs in each fragment are exposed the strands of DNA when restriction enzymes are utilized.
