2018 : Proposed two new power amplifiers Two new power amplifiers will be build : 2 x 1.7 MW peak RF Efficiency ~ 50 % -> 2 x 3.4 MVA ~ 7 MVA peak April 19, 2011 6 Eric Montesinos / CERN-BE-RF-SR One line (input cavity ~120 to 180 m away) Drivers: 16 SSA 8 kW From Beam Control Final 16 Tubes 110 kW (g = 12 dB) 3 dB combiners and power loads plus 120 to 180 m Coaxial lines - 0.6 dB - 0.2 dB = - 0.8 dB Tetrodes = 1.4 MW + 0.8 dB = 1.7 MW / 16 = 110 kW 1/16 splitter
