Cancer Services at University Hospital Approximately 22,000 patient encounters were recorded for FY2009 2007 – 1132 newly diagnosed patients –Younger and more advanced stage of disease 40% AJCC stage III/IV compared to 27% nationwide Unusually high number of sarcoma, cervical, hepatic and head/neck carcinomas 3
