2. 2 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC SC 5 Membership There have been no changes to the SC5 membership list approved at the May 2015 meeting. SC 5 Scope Subcommittee 5 is responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing standards for immunity testing techniques and associated instrumentation as requested by the Main Committee ANSI ASC C63 ®.

3. 3 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC SC 5 Responsibilities (Duties) C63.9 – RF Immunity of Audio Office Equipment to General Use Transmitting Devices with Transmitter Power Levels up to 8 Watts C63.15 – Recommended Practice for the Immunity Measurement of Electrical and Electronic Equipment C63.16 – Guide for Electrostatic Discharge Test Methodologies and Criteria for Electronic Equipment C63.24 – Recommended Practice for In-Situ RF Immunity Evaluation of Products, Instrumentation, and Control Systems in High Reliability Installations

4. 4 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC SC 5 Project Status C63.9: Immunity of Audio Office Equipment Andy Griffin is new WG Chair. PINS-C was approved at May 2015 meeting. It includes several comments that were submitted when the document was reaffirmed in 2014. We have 2 volunteers for the WG and are seeking additional members. Better progress on the revision is expected for the next meeting. C63.15: Immunity Measurement Don Heirman is WG Chair. PINS-C was approved at May 2015 meeting, Work is progressing well and includes updated use info for MIL-STD 461, addition of three automotive related tests, and a quasi-static electric field immunity test. Expect to circulate PINS for email ballot in mid-December, form balloting group by end of 1Q16 and publish by mid-2016.

5. 5 Accredited Standards Committee C63 ® - EMC SC 5 Project Status C63.16: ESD Test Methods Guide Steve Whitesell is WG Chair. Draft 3.0 was balloted in mid-2015 with all results either Approve or Approve with Comment. WG has resolved all comments and received confirmation that commenters are satisfied with resolutions. WG believes no technical changes have been made but will circulate revised document to entire ballot pool for information before publication. C63.24: Generic In-Situ Immunity Evaluation Don Heirman has agreed to serve as new WG Chair. The IEEE EMC Society has IEEE Std 473 on in-situ emission measurement. The Chair of that group is interested in a joint project to revise their standard and finally complete our work on C63.24. This is opportune since the EMCS is a C63 member.
