Regatta Volleyball – Main Rules Format is 4 – a side Each team to have at least one female team member Substitution only by rotation or injury Unlimited number of players may rotate-in, but only 1 at the time The ball must go over the net in maximum 3 Ball may be played by any body part ‘Double touch’ not allowed with the exception of block Touching the net is not allowed Crossing the line under the net is not allowed Balls crossing outside ‘antennas’ are invalid Balls crossing via the top of the net are valid, with the exception of the service A ball touching the line is ‘in’ Scoring only on service A ‘net service’ is fault, service to opponent Blocking a service is not allowed, spiking is At ‘double fault’ point will be replayed Before service the ball should be ‘dry-cleaned’ Serves should be rotated within team members upon change of serve.
